Shakila is an Assistant Manager, Change Management and Building Services Markets. She works with financial institutions across sub-Saharan Africa to implement transformative strategies that enable them to reach underserved clients. In addition, she manages projects under Executive Coaching and E-learning with a view of building these services markets across sub-Saharan Africa and encouraging financial institutions to increase their uptake so as to build staff capacity. She also supports Capital Markets works by managing ongoing projects that are aimed at strengthening the capacity of capital market authorities within sub- Saharan Africa.
Prior to joining FSD Africa, she worked with BlueOrchard Finance S.A where she was an Associate Investment Officer for Anglophone Africa. In this position, she was responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, sourcing for deals, undertaking due diligence exercises, deal structuring and negotiations and preparing investment papers for appraisal. She also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), in Kenya and Rwanda, offering audit and business advisory services to companies in the financial, manufacturing and telecommunications industries.
